The present invention relates to a hand held appliance, and in particular to a hair care appliance such as a hairdryer (10) comprising a body (30) and a handle (20), in which air is drawn into the appliance through a primary fluid inlet (40) at the second end (24) of the handle (20), as shown in Fig. 4a.
In a conventional hairdryer a motor and fan draw air into the body through an inlet at its back end, usually behind a filter. When the appliance is put down on a soft surface such as bedding, that inlet can be covered and the motor can overheat.
CN 202774786 U describes a rotary electric air comb whose handle houses a motor driving a fan, with an air inlet cover at the end of the handle. In CN 201328477 Y the blower of a hairdryer sits at the bottom end of the handle, so that air enters there and passes through the handle into a longer air duct. DE 2618819 A1 describes a cylindrical hairdryer in which an axial fan at the rear of the housing draws air in through openings in an end cover that also carries the cable entry.
Each of these appliances draws air in at the end of the handle or housing, with the fan behind that inlet. The handle then houses the fan unit (70) and its wiring, and in a conventional clam shell construction its two halves are screwed together, so that a user can remove the screws and reach the heater and the fan unit.
There is therefore a need for a handle whose inner wall (220) can be formed in one piece with the body (30), while the components inside it remain accessible during assembly through an opening that can be closed.
- Sections set by the jurisdiction
- Every application carries Field, Background, Summary, Detailed Description and Abstract, with Industrial Applicability for EP, PCT and NL. An optional section left empty drops out of the preview and the Word export.
- Find and replace across sections
- Find and replace searches every section of the application, with match-case and whole-word options. Reference chips stay intact while the prose around them changes.
Draft each section from the matter

- Formatted for the office
- US filings number paragraphs from [0001] straight through the document, and EP, PCT and NL filings indent them. Paper size, margins and 12 pt type at 1.5 spacing follow the filing rules and stay fixed.
- Export to Word with drawings
- Export builds a .docx of the assembled application, claims before the abstract and each drawing sheet on its own page. A figure that fails to load is named, and the rest downloads.

- Keep every figure described
- The Brief Description of the Drawings checks that each figure has its line. A figure added, split or renumbered after the section was written is listed by number.
- Mentions checked against the matter
- Prose that names an element, figure or claim without its link is underlined, and one click with Enter attaches it. A group such as (44, 546) with one unknown sign is flagged too.
